The Woman In Black Trailer

We used this trailer to look at closely to add elements to our trailer.

This was similair as it too has a female protagonist, and used shots from different points of the trailer, not revealing a chronolgical order of events that happen in the narrative. We decided to use this as it leaves the audience unexpected of what will come in the actual film in the cinema.

Also the childlike voice over effect we thought worked well with the fast pace editing making it seem creepy. We used this effect in our anamatic before this trailer was released, showing we are using professional elements. We are continuing to do this in our trailer with the chanting of 'Mary'.

Filming Dates

Wednesday 22nd February - I Filmed my nan in her home in her chair which took 3 shots, and also a close up shot of her hand with the 'ring'. Also an outside shot where I panned the camera around her. The shots went as planned with good weather conditions outside.

Wednesday 14th March - Me, Kelly, Jordan, Dafydd and Emma filmed the school shots around the table reading the diary, where we also managed to do a voice over of the shots to be reflected into the flashback.

Thursday 15th March - Me, Kelly, Jordan, Daffyd, and two added actresses Niamah and Meg filmed on this day in school. We managed to get the bullying scene done of the flashback where also Meg playing Mrs Kynch did the close up shots where we could link her to the old Mrs Kunch with the 'Ring'. These were all done successfully where we then went into the editing suite and started to put effects into the shots such as 'sepia'.

Filming dates

Sunday 29th January- .filming was called off due to bad weather
Monday 30th January- Kelly Dafydd and Jordan went to the woods at 4:00 and got around about 3 shots done.They found that lighting was a big issue as we only had about an hour of day light as well as the freezing conditions making it difficult to work.

Wednesday 8th February- Kelly Dafydd Jordan and Emma filmed 3 of the school shots, although one shot was not possible and someone needed to film all four of us while moving around.

Friday 10th February- Weather conditions meant we had to cancel.

Monday 13th February- Kelli Katie and Jordan filmed all my single shots and Jordan's in the day time then all Katie's when it was just getting dark as she is Mary in the trailer and needs to look spooky. We filmed from 2-5 and got about 8 shots done

Tuesday 14th February- Kellty  filmed all of Emmas single shots all though we had some trouble as there was hardly any room left on the tape but we still got about 6 done from 3-5.
